Live webcasting of ‘expert panel debates’ is an exciting extension to your EventExtra communication and collaboration platform, and a perfect way to engage with audiences from across your operations.
  • Virtual Events link discussions staged at your conference and other locations directly with colleagues operating elsewhere in your organisation. Not only can they see and hear the debate live through platform interface, but they can actively engage with it by submitting their own questions and comments.

How a Virtual Event reaches out to your organisation
Two or three experts or business leaders join a facilitated discussion panel in a 60 minute live webcast. The subject and timing of the discussion, together with a secure web link, is promoted beforehand on the EventExtra platform. Remote groups then gather in pre-arranged meeting rooms to see, hear and contribute to the screened live discussion.

Gathered in groups or as individuals on their pc
This brings conference discussions live from the event directly to your local audiences, considerably increasing both reach and engagement across your operations. Even individuals with access rights can join the event on their PC and contribute their own comments and questions via a moderator at the event.

  • Submitting comments and questions
Once the discussion is underway, local audiences can directly ask questions of the speakers by simply typing a text message into the Virtual Event interface. Where audiences are assembled in meeting rooms, a local moderator selects the questions for submission on behalf of the group.

Back at the live event, an EventExtra moderator is seated adjacent to the speakers. His/her job is to paraphrase and relay incoming questions and comments to the speaker panellists for them to pick up and respond to within their discussions and debates.

Each Virtual Event allows a fully responsive and interactive debate with the panellists within an easily managed and moderated format.

Virtual Events are great for webcasting before your conference to prepare delegates for discussions and workshops, during the conference to report on reactions and issues arising at the event, or after your conference to report on follow-through on outcomes and change strategies.
