The EventExtra team has been providing online conference communication support since 2005, and with event format design and facilitation for considerably longer. This has included creating, managing and facilitating online conference platforms for major private sector brands as well as major UK public sector organisations such as British Council and English Heritage.
  • Today, we manage campaign and conference communication platforms for international companies, extending their reach to a wider audience and providing an active bridge between one conference and the next.

    Facilitation and event design
With so much experience of organising and supporting event communication, it was only natural that we also enter into effective event participation design. We’ve all experienced the noise generated by delegate workshops and then been frustrated by the inability to deliver on their outcomes after the conference closes.

Although EventExtra and EventExtra OpenSpace are available as separate services, combined they make for a perfect marriage.

EventExtra OpenSpace delivers our proven facilitation and event formatting and participation skills to increase positive engagement within your delegate groups, while the EventExtra communication and collaboration platform prepares delegates for the discussions prior to the event and continues to reinforce their involvement after the physical event closes.

  • Leading the team
Every team needs at least one leader and at EventExtra™ there are two – founding partners David Paul and Matt O’Neill.

David Paul brings to EventExtra the strength and experience of an extensive career in business-to-business corporate and market communication at senior level within both consultancy and multi national organisations. With direct involvement in countless corporate events under his belt and a wide understanding of communications objectives arising from organisational change, branding, marketing and sales, David can use the depth of his experience to assess what works and what definitely doesn’t. David is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Matt O’Neill was organising events even before his career in business communications got underway! In recent years he has built a specialist communications consultancy looking after both government sponsored and private sector events. Matt is the founding member of the London Communicators and Engagement Group and facilitated at over one hundred meetings and conferences. As well as combining a natural enthusiasm for experimentation with meeting formats, Matt has a thorough understanding of social networking and its link with business communications. He was formerly on the Melcrum Expert Advisor Panel for new media.

David and Matt are supported by a team of specialists providing online and digital support skills, event design and facilitation, presentation support and hospitality services.
